CURSED

So, I am rewriting my book into a completely different from the other one. I'll be putting on teasers so....let me know what you think.

P.S this photo kind of screams CURSED-

TEASER-

As soon as I stepped through the thresh hold of my house Julian stepped out of his study and leaned against the door frame. “I gather that you spoke to the Jeremy boy?”
“You consider yourself a holy man,” I said meeting his eyes, seeing his shock at the state I was in, soaked hair from the rain, blood shot eyes, red splotches all over my face. “Yet you are undoubtedly enjoying watching me suffer. You strung me up-making me think there was a cure but then dropped it with something that is much, much worse. My life shattered when my family was murdered and Jeremy picked up the pieces. Now you have undone all of his work.”

Clockwork Prince is where it SHOULD BE

Clockwork Prince is officially where it should be-in my hands. Due to that, I will probably not do my Spirit Bound (which is amazing by the way) review later probably with the CP one.

TEAM WILL!

HEHE I HAVE IT!

Clockwork Prince

So.
TWO MORE FRIGGING DAYS TILL CLOCKWORK PRINCE'S REALIZE!
If you don't know what Clockwork Prince is it the second book of the Infernal Devices by the one and only Cassandra Clare-here's the link to her tumblr http://cassandraclare.tumblr.com/ -She writes books about demon fighting Nephilim who kick some serious ass throughout the first series she wrote about them which are, City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls (comes out next may) and City of Heavenly Fire (which comes out in 2013 I think). The second series she's writing about them sets place in the 19th century in London. It is about nearly all the characters in the first series (which is called the Mortal Instruments by the way) ancestors. So, without giving to much away, it is central to a girl named Theresa or Tessa Grey who after her Aunt's death, moves to London to live with her brother. But when she gets there she is kidnapped and is told that if she doesn't do what they want her brother will suffer for it. She learns that she has the uncanny ability to change into any other person by holding a personal item of their's.
I, personally, love the Infernal Devices wayyyyyyyyyyyy more then the Mortal Instruments.
So, firstly, what do you think will happen if you've read them and secondly, if you haven't, why aren't you at a book shop?

The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa

IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE FIRST THREE BOOKS I RECOMMEND  THAT YOU DO NOT READ THIS DUE TO SPOILER ALERT.
Ash, former prince of the Winter Court, gave up everything. His title, his home, even his vow of loyalty.

All for a girl… and all for nothing.

Unless he can earn a soul.

To cold, emotionless faery prince Ash, love was a weakness for mortals and fools. His own love had died a

horrible death, killing any gentler feelings the Winter prince might have had. Or so he thought.

Then Meghan Chase—a half human, half fey slip of a girl— smashed through his barricades, binding him to

her irrevocably with his oath to be her knight. And when all of Faery nearly fell to the Iron fey, she

severed their bond to save his life. Meghan is now the Iron Queen, ruler of a realm where no Winter or

Summer fey can survive.

With the (unwelcome) company of his archrival, Summer Court prankster Puck, and the infuriating cait

sith Grimalkin, Ash begins a journey he is bound to see through to its end— a quest to find a way to honor

his solemn vow to stand by Meghan’s side.

To survive in the Iron realm, Ash must have a soul and a mortal body. But the tests he must face to earn

these things are impossible. At least, no one has ever passed to tell the tale.

And then Ash learns something that changes everything. A truth that turns reality upside down, challenges

his darkest beliefs and shows him that, sometimes, it takes more than courage to make the ultimate

sacrifice

So, here it is.
Here is the review I've been dreading to write because it will make it feel final-
THERE AREN'T ANYMORE IRON FEY BOOKS!
I have finished this book a few days ago and ever since I've been walking around like someone died.

THE COVER: Well, all I can say is that I bit my best friend's head off (not literally of course) when she bagged it. I love it-of course I love it, it has a certain Unseelie Prince on it and the back is great too with the Summer Jester that we all love.

THE PLOT: This book is hopelessly romantic, Ash's quest to claim a soul to be with the woman he loves-it's so...I don't even have the words to describe it. Kagawa writes the perfect blend of romance and fantasy that is so hard to write without the other canceling out the other-trust me, I just started writing the second book of my series and I'm rewriting the first because it was to lovey duvy romance taking away the paranormal aspect. But that isn't all this book is about, it's about being human, about guilt and honor and promises that you make. In it Ash forgives Puck for his mistake and finds himself in a very difficult cross road, the person who you used to be in love with and still love or the person who is basically your life. I wanted to hate Ariella, I really did for wanting to take Ash away from Meghan but-she's one of those characters you can't help but like and I am so glad that Kagawa didn't make her one of those sterotype, stalker ex-girls friends that are so common in YA. Her selfless act at the end of the book was so....I don't think there's a word in the English dictionary to sum up the selflessness in the act the she preformed. I screamed when in the second trail when Ash wakes up in the Iron Realm with Meghan and asked her THE QUESTION. OH MY GOD MY BRAIN EXPLODED. Then the actual scene was down right hilarious.
I didn't like seeing him as a old man, he just.....I was crying.

THE WORLD: Kagawa returns with the same wonderfully....beautiful world that she has created. But this time it's darker and more dangerous-I know, even MORE dangerous-and I, personally, loved it even more.  The End Of The World is something that I have dreamed of, and the way she created it, the poetic-like  way that she described it was in-flooring and made me get lost in the book for hours at night, with school the next day and it was so good I DID NOT REGRET IT.

THE CHARACTERS: First and foremost, Ashllayn' darkmr Tallyn. He was so driven by his promise, so focused about his promise to Meghan, but he wasn't completing this quest because he had to because of his oath but  because he wanted to be with Meghan always. Even once he found out that his first love was still alive and still had feelings toward him he kept going-and not to say that he never wavered, and the way he swore to make up for all the lives he took, for all the lives he destroyed....He did it with certainty, not a like a throw away promise that you make to make someone get off your back that you have no intention of keeping. I have been Team Ash since I read the first book and this only made me love him more.
Puck: Puck comes back as the Puck we all know and love. He has his witty remarks, the way he looks on the bright side of things. But you see a completely different side to him. He has his emotional moments, he has his points where he gets things off his chest and he has the turning point with him when he seems to...forgive himself for Ariella's death.
Ariella: She is the person who you want to hate but can't. She is such a realistic character and she is so shy and quiet. She is a big turning point in both the boy's lives and she gives them both what they need in the end-closure.
Meghan: I have to admit, it was difficult to adapt to not being in her head.     At times I would find myself imagining Ash as Meghan and I had to shake myself to remember that it was ASH. Meghan is a constant thought in Ash's head and the times they do see each other in dreams are so...wonderfully beautiful.
Grim: My second favorite character. In this he kind of gets a Puck/Ash relationship with one of the new characters-The Big Bad Wolf. It is so funny how they fling witty and rude remarks to and fro, making me laugh in class causing everyone to stare at me like I'm crazy.
The Big Bad Wolf: Three words, loyalty, loyalty, loyalty. He will do what he wants, take on the favors he wants and do things on his term. But once he does he is loyal. Again, it's so funny with the battle of the wits going on between him and Grim-how he keeps threatening to eat him and how he just replies, I am a cat, had me in stitches.

This is my equal first series (along with the Infernal Devices) and if you havent read the first one, 1)why are you reading this? 2)Why aren't you at a book store buying the series?

5/5 stars. I will mourn the ending of this series for a LONG TIME.

Book Review-Blood Promise (Vampire Academy #4)

I RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE FIRST THREE BOOK THAT YOU DO NOT READ THIS DUE TO SPOILER ALERT.

Rose Hathaway's life will never be the same.

The recent attack on St. Vladimir's Academy devastated the entire Moroi world. Many are dead. And, for

the few victims carried off by Strigoi, their fates are even worse. A rare tattoo now adorns Rose's neck, a

mark that says she's killed far too many Strigoi to count. But only one victim matters . . . Dimitri Belikov.

Rose must now choose one of two very different paths: honoring her life's vow to protect Lissa—her best

friend and the last surviving Dragomir princess—or, dropping out of the Academy to strike out on her own

and hunt down the man she loves. She'll have to go to the ends of the earth to find Dimitri and keep the

promise he begged her to make. But the question is, when the time comes, will he want to be saved?

Now, with everything at stake—and worlds away from St. Vladimir's and her unguarded, vulnerable, and

newly rebellious best friend—can Rose find the strength to destroy Dimitri? Or, will she sacrifice herself

for a chance at eternal love?

The forth and one of the most heart breaking books in the Vampire Academy series. When I sit down to read one of these books I  cannot stop reading. This book....well, at parts it did other parts it didn't.

COVER: The first time I saw the cover my sister had brought it home for a present to  me along with the other books in the series. Yep, my sister's awesome. This cover isn't my favorite one but it isn't the worst either -coughVampireAcademycough- I love how she has the Nazar around her neck too.

PLOT: The plot is absolutely amazing-not that I would expect anything less from Mead. Rose has come such a long way from the clueless -sorry to say but a bit slutly- teen ager that she started as in the first book. And Dimitri is a big part of that, and for her to go out on this quest, group everything to put him out of his misery-even if he doesn't even know that the real him is screaming at him-it is one of the biggest acts of bravery that anyone could preform, I mean, think about it, if you loved someone with all your heart, the very first person you fell in love with, would you have the strength to keep a promise as massive as that?

THE WORLD: I have never been out of the state I've grown up in even through I have a father who has lived in Portugal, India and other places all through out the world, I have never set foot out of Victoria (which sucks) I love how this was set in Russia, a place I have a strong-if not unhealthy-love for. I love how Mead sets out settings, it is wonderful, most of the time you can imagine yourself in Rose's place. I loved how you meet knew people, from the Unpromised, to Blood Whores, to the Striogi that she finds herself trapped with.

THE CHARACTERS: Rose is so more mature than she was in the first books, she's grown into her rule of being a Guardian and she is still loyal to the people she loves. She has high principles which are tested a lot in this novel and she still stands by them. With everything that had happened in Shadow Kissed you just expect her to break down crying about Dimitri and about the lives lost, but she only dose twice one time it's when she's drugged out from vamp bites-she wasnt acting normally because of the drugging affect  it has on human and dhpamirs-and the over is when she sees Lissa again at the end of the book.
Lissa is.....unstable. She changes back to the party animal she used to be but the reason behind it is very shocking-it isn't even her doing-and very surprising. She eventually changes but into the Lissa we all know and love but when she is the animal I very much wanted to slap her.
Dimitri-well, he obviously isnt the same. He is twisted at times and it is like he is using Rose as a water bottle-yeah, horrible saying but I couldnt think of anything else. There are times, Ill admit, he seems like he still loves her but at those times I would shake myself and remind myself about the ending of the third book. At those times I would slam the book and sulk for a hour or two.
Adrian-this is really ironic but I know a Adrian and he is very much like the VA Adrian. He is the same sarcastic, warm, slightly mad Adrian but we see a different side to him, he is much like my brother is towards me towards Jill, protective, a little teasing.....like a older brother. He really reminds me of someone who was falling in love and maybe he was, maybe he was finally falling for Rose whereas he used to just want a relationship with her but he wasnt in love with her. I'm actually at a dead end, I was on Team Dimitri but now...I'm not so sure.

I love the book series and I am sure that the final two are gonna be amazing, she does wonderful cliffhangers.

Five stars out of five.

Spirit Day

I'm  a massive Hunger Games fan and when I saw this I had to repost it. I know what it feels like
to be bullied, physically and emotionly. It's hard and you just wonder, why did they have to target me?
But really, after a while you realize that the person whose doing that to you, causing you that pain,
is just a kid banging on the inside of a cardboard trying to get out. You realize that you arent going to
let yourself be lower to their state-and even though it hurts, soon it will be as far away as a faraway galaxy.
You are not alone. Never think that you are.

Book Review-Hourglass by Claudia Grey

Bianca will risk everything to be with Lucas.

After escaping from Evernight, the vampire boarding school where they met, Bianca and Lucas seek

refuge with Black Cross, an elite group of vampire hunters. Bianca must hide her supernatural heritage or

risk certain death at its hands. But when Black Cross captures her friend—the vampire Balthazar—all her

secrets threaten to come out.

Soon, Bianca and Lucas are on the run, pursued not only by Black Cross, but by the powerful vampires of

Evernight. Yet no matter how far they run, Bianca can't escape her destiny. Bianca and Lucas have always

believed their love could survive anything—but can it survive what's to come?

Alright, so ah.....I'm a little confused about this book to be honest.

I didn't exactly liked the first two and I hoped that this one would you know, make me like the series more

but all it did was make me more frigging confused.

On one hand there were parts I loved but on the other....

COVER: I don't like it. In my opinion it makes Bianca look like a thirty five year old house wife.

PLOT: Not as great as I hoped. It just....didnt do it for me. It was a bit all over the place and blurry and I

saw the ending a mile away.  And with Bianca's birth secret...that was the only logical answer so how

come it took so long for them to figure it out?

You tell 'em Spike

THE WORLD: NEEDS TO BE UPDATED. Like, BIG TIME. Most of the terms she used I've never even

heard of. Yeah, they might be valid but make them easy to at least understand. Ok, that's it or else I'll start

a rant.

THE CHARACTERS: Bianca.....oh God Bianca. She is such a self centered person that I nearly threw the

book at  my wall. And I don't like that someone named Bianca is a biatch because I have a cousin named

Bianca and she's one of my best friends. Lucas seemed....old. He acted like my forty year old uncles put

together. I love Vic though. He reminds me of a guy I knew and it was just hilarious. I didn't mind Ranulf,

I loved how ignorant he seemed all the time.

Even though there were parts I enjoyed it didnt make up for the rest.

Two stars out of five.

Delirium By Lauren Oliver

So, my first book review (not that I haven't read any YA novels before this one) is Delirium by Lauren Oliver.

Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing.

They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold.

Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all

citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when

she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

COVER: Yes, it is the old cover. I bought it back in May and the new one wasn't out yet. But....I prefer this one. It has something about it that I can't quite put a finger on. I don't know, might be just me. The only thing that annoys me about it is that once I buy the next on they'll be different height.

PLOT: The plot is pretty easy to understand-girl meets boy, boy falls for her, she falls for him, and they'll get killed if anyone found out they were best friends let alone together. So it is basically that Lena Haloway  is going to her evolution and while in it she sees a boy.  And a few days later she sees him again. They end up falling in love but it is so fearful and frightening because they could get killed if they anyone ever knew....The book's ending is sort of a Romeo and Juliet ending. Sort of. I'm not saying anything else.

THE WORLD: The world is scary is you think about it. A world without love. I can't imagine living like that at all. You can't love your siblings or your friends and this is one of the biggest things I have a problem with-Your parents don't love you. Not because you aren't "good enough" but because they can't.
They let people put them under and basically cut out the part in their brain that is what makes you able to love. Seriously, I would kick and scream and not let anyone near me that has that in their head. Another thing I hate about this world is that after you are forced into the so called 'Cure' you can't fall in love. You get married, have kids, sure but it doesn't mean anything to you at all. I can't imagine a world like this but good job Lauren for coming up with it.

THE CHARACTERS: Lena is a seventeen year old who is brainwashed until she falls in love and wakes up. Her growth is amazing through the whole book and Alex has a lot to do with that. She isn't afraid to voice her opinion but knows when to shut up.
Alex is charming and sweet. He isn't one of those guys who is all "I LOVE YOU! RUN AWAY WITH ME!" But he does genuinely love Lena and is willing to risk his life to make her safe.
Hana is so much like someone I know it isnt funny. She has turned rebellious but not the type of rebellious that is all goth and tats. She helps Lena every way she can and is the only person who knows about how much Alex means to Lena.

I give this this book four stars out of five.

A Novel On A Summer Afternoon

This blog is book reviews of all YA books.
I am a author but my books are not yet published sad to say but every so often I will post teaser from them.
